The President of the Republic yesterday signed two decrees, on Elections Cameroon, ELECAM. The first appoints the 12-member team of the body.
The members are:
Mbomba Nkolo Cecile
Njeuma nee Effange Dorothy Limunga
Sadou Daoudou nee Lady Bawa
Abdoulaye Babale
Adamou Ali
Ebanga Ewodo Justin
Efandene Bekono Pierre Roger
Ejake Mbonda Thomas
Fonkam Samuel Azu’u
Mana Nschwangele Jules
Massi Gams Dieudonne
Mbonda Eli
The second decree on Elections Cameroon, appoints the Chairman and Vice Chairman. They are:
Chairman, Fonkam Samuel Azu’u
Vice Chairman, Ebanga Ewodo Justin
These decrees pave the way for an eminent take off of this body which shall be in charge of organising and supervising elections in the country. The decrees also signify an end of the mission assigned the National Elections Observatory. It is worth noting that President Paul Biya promulgated into law the bill creating Elections Cameroon (ELECAM) on 29th December 2006.
