I am going to miss an event I have dreamed of for the last 20something years of my existence! A Cameroonian football club playing the final of the African Champions League.
How man go do? Na work dey make us survive in dis hard world! On va faire comment?
As I travel, I would like to add my little blessings to Cotonsport.
Boys, dig deep down and bring out that fire which only Cameroonians can muster when it comes to football. Pour it on the Al Ahly team to make us proud.
I know it shan't be easy to come from 2 goals down to win that trophy. Mais impossible n'est pas camerounais!
As you step into the arena this afternoon, be inspired by the great deeds of other Cameroonian teams, and sports persons. Think of Samuel Eto'o who was considred surplus to needs at the end of last season in Barcelona, but has bounced back to score 13 goals in 9 games for that same FC Barcelona. Remember Francoise Mbango who returned from maternity and leapt 15 metres to win gold at the Beijing Olympics. Think of Roger Milla who sneaked back into the Indomitbale Lions from retirement to lead us to the World Cup quarter final in 1990.
Be inspired by Canon of Yaounde the last Cameroonian squad to win the African Club Champions Cup. They had been down to AS Bilima of then Zaire and came from behind to win.
Well if you guys lose, I would understand that it is sport. You win some and you lose others. Yet aim for the best.
Go boys! Allez cotonsport!
I will carry my 2 battery transistor along, in case the BBC World Service, RFI or Africa No 1 runs live commentary on shortwave!

Unfortunately, they lost ): Better luck next time. I trust your business meeting went well?
